Rita Leydon, I currently make documentary videos (DVD) focusing on mature masters and tradition bearers within the Swedish folk music genre.
Artist Summary: I have been active as an illustrator and graphic designer for many years, plus I am also a weaver and spinner. For fun I play nyckelharpa and dance Swedish gammaldans and bygdedans. My husband and I also demonstrate nyckelharpa and teach Swedish dancing on occasion, sometimes we even play for the dancing. We moved to Salida in May of 2010 and will take a year off to build our home 10 miles west of town.
