Artist Summary: I grew up in rural Michigan on a strawberry farm, the third in a family of 6 to go to nursing school. After nine years in varied areas of Nursing, I obtained a BFA in Drawing and and MPH. Denver became my home in 1983 where I met my husband. Moving to Salida in 2003, I worked in Home Health & Hospice. Since retiring in 2007, I’ve pursued my art and am on the Board of ArtWorks. My primary work involves contemplating a piece of old lace, placing it on the paper and using graphite and colored pencil, I evolve it into a new form creating a collage.
